Zach Harris

Zach Harris doesn’t let cerebral palsy affect his positive outlook. In fact, as student manager for the F.J. Reitz H.S. football team, Zach’s can-do attitude motivates his fellow Panthers to reach their goals--literally!

Zach began receiving services at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center shortly after his c.p. was diagnosed at 18 months of age.  Therapeutic preschool helped him catch up developmentally.  He has worked hard in physical therapy ever since.

Zach aims for his dream of walking independently by focusing on balance and strength training.  He is an A honor roll student who has already earned a varsity letter and was named to the Evansville All-City Academic Team.

Zach's future dreams include college and a career. For now, he relishes his role as the Reitz gridiron team motivator.  He’s proud that the players and other students see him “not just as a wheelchair with a kid in it--but as a neat kid who just happens to use a wheelchair.”
