Susan comes to Easter Seals with a Master of Arts in Speech Pathology and a Bachelor of Science in Education.

As a Speech Pathologist/Instructional Support Teacher in the Volusia County School System, Susan's experience includes:
- Supporting Pre-K teachers with implementation of a new curriculum
- Developing Pre-K checklists to monitor Communication, & Personal/Social skills
- Supporting teachers with on-going district-wide progress monitoring of students ranging in abilities from multi to typical in the areas of communication, personal/social skills and Early Growth Indicators, a measure of pre-academic skills
- Designing implementation of district-wide Pre-K Professional Learning Community
- Created and maintain Pre-K website for VCS
- Provided Speech Therapy for Parentally Placed Private School Students
- Progress monitoring Pre-K students, identifying areas of need within the scope of emergent literacy and coaching teachers to address those needs
As a Speech Language Pathologist for Pre-K Language Impaired class in Volusia County School System, Susan also was responsible for remediation of Pre-K students with severe language and speech disabilities, testing, determining goals and objectives, and parent education.
Susan also served as a Speech Pathologist for area private schools and private clients in a resource position and in a Kindergarten language impaired program in the Volusia County School System
