Meet Roxanne Hemmerling, PTA

Roxanne is a licensed physical therapist assistant with pediatrics and adolescents and has worked at Easter Seals since 2010.  She has treated children with different types of medical and educational needs including: Cerebral palsy, Muscular dystrophy, Spina bifida, Autism, Developmental delayed and Traumatic brain-injury.

Roxanne's clincial experience include:

  • Provide physical therapy to children in the medical setting
  • Provide input to parents, caregivers, and teachers
  • Provide physical therapy in schools working with teachers and staff members about the role of therapy in schools and communicate
     and work with parents to help educate with their child needs
  • Fitness instructor for Reebok Strength, Step, and Spinning classes
  • Trained clients with proper form and techniques for classes
  • 21 years working in public school system, students ages three to 21 with speical needs
  • Service teachers and staff members with positioning, transfer trainings and use of equipment
  • Teach aerobics, step, and water aerobics classes
  • Worked with the elderly population in several nursing homes and home patients
