Summary:

This position will start on April 1st, 2024

Salary will be between $18.50 to 24.50 per hour, based on experience, and is full-time 30 hours per week

With its play-based curriculum and inclusive approach to education for children who are neurodiverse or have other related disabilities, this new private school represents a significant milestone in our community. The Education Curriculum and Program Specialist plays a crucial role in the design and implementation of effective education programs for children aged 6 weeks to 2nd grade.

Basic Responsibilities:

A snapshot of what you'll do:

  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive learning environment
  • Design and develop age-appropriate curriculum materials for children from 6 weeks to 2nd grade
  • Provide ongoing training and support to educators for the effective implementation of the curriculum
  • Train, monitor, and direct staff in implementing the curriculum and evaluating child growth
  • Stay updated on current educational trends, research, and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field
  • A minimum of five years in curriculum development and instructional support
  • Florida Teaching Certification preferred
  • Curriculum development certification a plus
  • In-depth understanding of early childhood and elementary education principles
  • A genuine passion for working with children and families to promote student success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
