Adult Day Health Care

Adult Day Health Care offers programs and resources to individuals 18 years of age or older who have chronic physical or cognitive impairments. Easterseals West Kentucky is there to help provide the best possible care for those who need assistance with daily living and personal medical needs.  This program is a medical model program, staffed with RNs and LPNs, which is designed to provide socialization, loving care, and support for its participants. Along with respite care for caregivers.

                                     

The services provided are well-suited for individuals with special needs who are transitioning from high school or retiring. Our staff can also provide health care supervision and support for individuals with conditions such as: Alzheimer's, autism, cerebral palsy, dementia, developmental disabilities, diabetes, seizure disorders, and other chronic conditions. If an individual has health care needs, they can be met by trained professionals to allow family members to work, shop, and take care of their own needs while being assured that their loved ones are in a safe and secure setting. Physical and social assessments, medication administration as well as monitoring are included services. 

The services we offer may prolong or prevent admittance to a nursing home facility and are very affordable compared to costly in-home care options. In fact, services might be covered by Medicaid to qualifying individuals.

Adults and seniors with disabilities who qualify for our Adult Day Health Care program benefit by having opportunities for socialization, loving care, and support that help maintain their health and well-being, and an affordable alternative to costly in-home or residential care.  Caregivers benefit by having a break from daily caregiving, physical and emotional support in caring for a loved one, and convenience and flexibility to help meet a caregiver's needs.
