"Bill Joe" is a native Texan and holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration from Texas State University. He has been in the camping industry since 1997 when he worked as a summer staff - bringing in 24 years of camping experience in various roles. Bill Joe most recently served as Retreat Director at Camp Buckner in Burnet, TX for six years. He comes with a list of other experience including Director of Recreation and Camps for the Company of Rock House working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) for 11 years. He founded "People With Smiles" camp in 2011 - the only camp for Prader Willi Syndrome in Texas. In 2009, he co-founded and was a former Scoutmaster of Troop 250 with Boy Scouts of America in Stephenville, Texas - a troop for adults with I/DD. He also coaches for 12 years in Special Olympics of Texas in 10 different sports and was awarded Coach of the Year in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Bill Joe's hobbies included backpacking, hiking, getting lost in the wilderness. He is a proud family man of 16 years with his wife, has a 12 year old daughter and four pets (2 pugs, 2 cats). Fun Fact: He was the former mascot in 2001-2002 at Baylor University, and he rode a tornado in 1998. Bill Joe is excited to be in Colorado and to welcome campers to RMV in Summer 2022.
Byron Kish

Byron grew up in a large family in Michigan and spent much of his youth fishing, swimming, camping, playing sports, and traveling throughout our beautiful and diverse nation. He has a passion for helping and serving others and has been fortunate to have made it into a career. In addition to the work his program does helping people understand and apply for disability benefits, Byron is a practicing attorney and serves on the Board of TACT. He also holds a third dan black belt in Taekwondo, a first dan in the Superfoot System, and helps teach Taekwondo at the United Martial Arts Center (UMAC). With his remaining time, Byron loves to read, spend time with his wife, cheer on the Michigan Wolverines, and play games with his friends.

Jessica La Pointe

Jessica La Pointe was born in Denver and lived in the area until she was a teenager. In 2012 she returned to Denver and obtained her degree from Pima Medical Institute in 2016. Jessica started her career at Easterseals Colorado as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the Neurological Rehabilitation Adult Day Program. In 2019, she took on the role of Director of the Neurological Rehabilitation Adult Day Program. In 2020, she became Sr. Program Director for both the Neurological Rehabilitation Adult Day Program and Explorers Day Program. She is the proud mother of a CU Buff graduate and her little dog, Bruno.

Joe Scancarello is a Colorado native from Pueblo, Colorado and moved to Denver in 2000 to begin his career in work force development. Joe has focused his career in assisting others in obtaining their career goals and is excited to work with Easterseals Colorado to give our clients the opportunity to achieve their career goals. Joe loves spending family time with his wife and 3 children cooking family dinners, cheering on local sports teams, concerts and coaching little league baseball.
