Easter Seals New York’s management team represents a mix of solid educational experience, business expertise, and political savvy. This team has been and will continue to be crucial to Easter Seals New York’s success as a high-growth organization in a rapidly changing industry.

Craig Stenning, Executive Director, Easter Seals New York

 Executive Director Craig Stenning’s professional career spans nearly 40 years.  As founder and CEO of CODAC Behavioral Health Centers in Rhode Island, Craig grew the agency to become the largest outpatient provider of recovery services in the New England region.  Craig also has extensive government service, appointed in 2000 as the  State of Rhode Island’s first Director for the Office of Behavioral Healthcare; in 2004, as the Director of Developmental Disabilities and in 2008, as the Director of the Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals—serving in that capacity for two different administrations.  Craig is credited for implementing the “Employment First” initiative in Rhode Island, which transitioned individuals from sheltered workshops to integrated community employment.

Craig is the recipient of several national awards including the prestigious Kennedy-Ramstad Recovery Award and the Dole-Nyswander Substance Abuse Treatment Award.
