Significant changes are underway for Iowa's Medicaid system. Iowa has selected four Managed Care Organizations (MCO's) that will be responsible for managing all Iowans that access Medicaid.

This week the Iowa Department of Human Services announced a series of public meetings on the IA Health Link initiative (previously known as the Managed Care Organization initiative).

IA Health Link Kick-Off meetings will be held in eleven locations and will provide an overview of the IA Health Link program.  View the list of meeting times and locations. Registration is required; register by clicking here. The meetings will provide training on the IA Health Link enrollment process and educate attendees on the transition and initial implementation of the program.

Iowa Medicaid will host a mix of in-person meetings and webinars called "tele-townhall meetings" in 18 locations throughout Iowa. These meetings will provide the public with an opportunity to receive information about the transition, ask questions directly to DHS staff, and receive in-person enrollment assistance. The tele-townhalls will feature a short presentation for those with Internet access and also will be available via conference call. Iowa Medicaid will work with local venues to offer the in-person meetings and tele-townhalls free to the public. Find exact meeting dates and times by clicking here. In the coming weeks, details will be added about which meetings will be available via tele-town hall (webinar and conference call). Check the DHS site in the weeks to come for those details.
