This holiday season, we are thankful to people like Christian Hoyo and Frankie Friguls for their generous donation to our adult daycare and in-home respite programs.  Both Christian and Frankie lost their grandmothers to Alzheimer’s disease when they were young.  They remember how hard the disease was on the family caregivers.  Today, as high school seniors at Christopher Columbus High School, they felt a calling to make life a little better for families struggling to care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.

Christian and Frankie educated their congregation at St. Thomas Episcopal Church about the effects of Alzheimer’s and asked for their help.  They were able to collect donations of essential personal care items and raise over $4,000 through the sale of Krispy Crème donuts. This incredible donation will go a long way to benefit Easterseals South Florida families.  Thank you Christian and Frankie.  Your gift will provide more than 200 hours of in-home respite for seniors with Alzheimer’s disease!
