Programs Overview

Children and Adults with Disabilities and/or Special Needs

Easterseals Oregon's barrier-free summer camp for children and adults with disabilities and/or special needs provides a place where activities are designed to be inclusive. Campers discover new abilities, gain independence, make lifelong friendships, and build lasting memories. In addition, caregivers receive respite time to rejuvenate themselves. Campers get to stay four nights at our dedicated retreat during the summer months. Learn more here.

Veterans of the United States Military and Their Families

Veterans of the United States Military and their families are empowered to live their lives to the fullest in every community. We work to break down barriers, engage organizations and communities, and connect veterans and military families with what they need for meaningful employment, education and overall wellness. Easterseals Oregon provides support to veterans and their families to find permanent housing, prevent eviction, obtain documentation, secure benefits (SSI or VA), and increase skills and income. We provide case management to identify barriers and connect them with community resources such as immediate needs, employment, health care, legal aid, child care services, personal financial planning and transportation. Individuals With Disabilities and Language/Literacy Barriers

Individuals with disabilities who have language and/or literacy barriers receive services essential to their employment success when they come to Easterseals Oregon. Our Connecting Communities program offers workshops for job application completion, mock interviews, resume building, English classes, computer classes and help to find and retain employment.
