I graduated from Streator HS in 1953, I put myself through college graduating from the University of Illinois in 1960 with a BS in Civil Engineering, married in December to Nancy Herman, worked for a large steel fabricating firm in St Louis for 2 years, then went into business for myself for 12 years. In 1973 I went to work at Lockport Steel Fabricators and retired in 2000.

Debbie corralled me at a Joliet Rotary Meeting and enticed me into joining the Easter Seal Board. I have served from 2000 until now, as Chairman of a Finance, Treasure, chairman of Building Committee during this time. Currently serving on the Budget & Finance a Committee and the Building Committee.

Was very active in the remodeling of the Easter Seal Center & in purchasing the Essington Office Building. My current 6 years runs out in 2027 when I will be 92 years old.

I have enjoyed working with Deb & her staff, they do a great job. One of the most critical hires we made during my time on the Board was adding David Gardner as our CFO. It would be impossible to operate without his accounting expertise. I have 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and counting.
