At Easterseals, one of our core values is that we are bigger than the sum of our parts. Our employees are the heart and soul of our organization, and their dedication to our mission is what drives our success. This summer, we were thrilled to celebrate their invaluable contributions at our annual Employee Appreciation Day. With over 170 employees in attendance, the event was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the hard work, passion, and commitment that each member of our team brings to Easterseals.

A special moment of the day was honoring four exceptional employees as STAR recipients, an award where nominees are selected by their peers for their outstanding dedication and positive impact.

This year’s STAR recipients were:

  • Daphne L. Franks, Assistant Teacher, Children’s Center
  • Monica Jacobson, Lead Teacher, Children’s Academy East
  • Jennifer C. Kee, Program Manager, Employment and Community Services
  • Beth O’Sullivan, MPH, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist, Medical Rehab

The celebration also included pizza, salad, and gelato provided by The Big Green Pizza Truck, creating a welcoming atmosphere filled with gratitude and camaraderie.

Employee Appreciation Day is just one way we recognize the vital role our staff plays in helping us achieve our mission. We are immensely proud of our team and the difference they make in the lives of individuals and families in our community.
