Meet the members of our 2022-2023 internship class:

Ashley Holden
Ashley Holden

Ashley Holden is completing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. After completing her undergraduate degree at George Mason University, Ashley earned her PsyM degree at Wright State University. Throughout her time in Dayton, Ashley had the opportunity to work within both community mental health and private practice settings with children and adults. During this time, Ashley developed many interests and solidified her love in working with children and adolescents. Her clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, and their families in both intervention and assessment services. Ashley hopes to continue to build on these interests and to collaborate with everyone on the Easterseals team.
 
Ashley is originally from central Ohio, which makes her a huge fan of The Ohio State University football team! Go Bucks! Ashley enjoys spending time with her dog, Ella, going on hikes, and cooking new foods. Ashley is excited to be working at Easterseals and getting the opportunity to explore the Evansville area.

Kassie Shellabarger
Kassie Shellabarger

Kassie Shellabarger is completing her PhD in School Psychology at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Mild Interventions at Butler University, she earned a Master’s degree in Counseling in 2017. Throughout her graduate training, she has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, health centers, and a private practice. Kassie has experience in administering psychological and neuropsychological assessments, implementing interventions, such as AutPlay therapy, and providing consultation. She is passionate about providing culturally responsive services to children and their families. Kassie’s clinical interests include assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorders, and neuropsychology. Kassie’s career aspirations are to be a pediatric neuropsychologist.  
 
Kassie is originally from Middletown, Indiana. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Dax, traveling and exploring new places, and spending time with friends and family! Kassie is very excited to continue to learn and grow during her internship at Easterseals!

Mera El Ramahi
Mera El Ramahi

Mera El Ramahi is completing her PsyD at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY. Prior to coming to Easterseals, she completed a practicum in pediatric psychology at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Center for Children in Evansville, Indiana. She has also gained clinical experience working in various settings such as hospital settings, counseling centers, and a private practice setting doing psychological testing, group therapy, and individual therapy. Her clinical interests include adjustment to diagnosis, adherence to medical regimen, pain management for neurological and GI chronic pain conditions, medical/ behavioral management of encopresis, pill swallowing, failure to toilet-train, procedural anxiety, crisis interventions, and management of suicidality. Mera has a broad-based training that has included providing comprehensive assessment and therapy services for children through adults in outpatient and inpatient settings.
 
Mera enjoys spending time with her family, husband, and friends. She also enjoys cycling, reading, and going for walks.
