Other Ways to Give

Workplace Giving
Workplace giving programs provide an easy way to support Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania.

United Way of Berks County
United Way of Berks County is a strong and unwavering key partner to Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania. Their generous support is critical for Easterseals to provide outstanding outpatient therapy services, clinic care and recreational programs. We are so grateful for their commitment to Easterseals and the families we serve.

Lehigh Valley/Pocono Corporate Work Place Giving Campaigns
Companies located in the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos can support Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania by conducting a companywide workplace/employee giving campaign. These types of campaigns are a great opportunity to support our mission and spread awareness about Easterseals and the programs and services we provide to local children, young adults and their families. Easterseals can make arrangements to send a family representative to your company to share their Easterseals experience and tell you about why Easterseals is a much needed resource to our community. For more information, contact Sue Schamberger by email or call 610-289-0114 x222.

In-Kind Gifts
A donor provides an in-kind donation, which is a kind of charitable giving in which, instead of giving money, an item or service is donated (all or in part). Please use our In-Kind Gift Form to make your donation. Gifts in-kind are distinguished from gifts of cash or stock. Gifts in-kind that directly benefit the mission of Easterseals are greatly appreciated. Certain in-kind gifts may have to be approved by the Director of Advancement, President & CEO, and/or Board of Directors. Contact Sue Schamberger by email or call 610-289-0114 x222.

Donor-advised Fund
A donor-advised fund allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania. Requests can be made to recommend grants to Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania, directly from your donor-advised fund.

Workplace “Fun”draisers
Organize a fun activity to raise funds at your office for Easterseals. Here are a few ideas, think fun and be creative!

Dress Down Days:  arrange with your employer for a Dress Down Day for a donation of $5 to Easterseals.

Cooking Contest for Bragging Rights: arrange for employees to volunteer to make a variety of dishes (could be a themed event). All employees can pay a tasting fee to sample and vote for the best dish(es). The proceeds benefit Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania. If you need a guest judge, let us know!

Coin War: place jars in the office for “extra change” and have departments compete to raise the most money.

Company Vacation Days: ask your boss or human resource director if they will donate a vacation day to be raffled off to a winning employee who makes a gift to Easterseals.

Team Spirit or Sports Day: for a donation, employees can wear their favorite team t-shirt, jersey, hat or sweatshirt to the office prior to a major sporting event.

Ugly Tie/Scarf Contest:  ask coworkers to bring in their wackiest and ugliest ties and scarfs and display them in a prominent location (lobby or lunch room). Put a jar or bucket beneath each one. The tie or scarf which receives the most donations at the end of the week is the winner.

The list is endless – be creative and have fun!

State Employment Combined Appeal
Each year, in the fall, employees of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania conduct their annual combined charitable giving campaign for employees. For more information on this program, visit www.seca.state.pa.us.

Camperships
Give a child the gift of a fabulous summer filled with fun, sun and friendship. Camperships are critical for many kids. Without financial support, many of our kids would not have the opportunity to participate in our camping programs specially designed to help build self-esteem and confidence through new and challenging experiences. The friendships formed at camp last far beyond the summer. Gifts can range from a partial campership to providing many kids with this wonderful experience.

Cost to attend camp:
Camp Lily day camp (Berks and Lehigh Valley): $455 per week per camper
Growing Green residential camp (Poconos): $1,450 per week per camper

Please mark on the memo line of your check the camp name (Camp Lily-Berks, Camp Lily-Lehigh Valley or Growing Green) and the word "Camperships" so that your gift is designated to the camp of your choice.
