Employment and Beyond is a job readiness program utilizing technology in schools and community centers that provides training to students with disabilities age 14 to 24  to prepare them for future employment.  Employment and Beyond began as a pilot program with funding from Dell in 2011 – beginning in 8 classrooms and serving 40 students.

Currently the program serves more than 200 students in 11 schools in 4 school districts and four community-based sites in Central Texas. Employment and Beyond utilizes Dell tablets and laptops to introduce students to job search engines and the online job application process, offering hands on experience with technology they might find in the workplace.

Employment and Beyond

We are expanding the program and introducing new opportunities for students with all types of disabilities to explore exciting careers in science, mathematics, and technology – and adding 4 new sites.

Our goal is to expand our current classroom and community curriculum by introducing the “High School/High Tech” STEM learning program that reflects the latest in evidence-based research on what youth with disabilities need to transition to employment successfully.
