AmeriCorps members serve with organizations dedicated to the improvement of communities. AmeriCorps helps make service to others a cornerstone of our national culture.

Over 85,000 members serve annually in thousands of local and national non-profits. Members commit to a term of 450 or 900 hours. Members receive comprehensive training and a living allowance. Upon successful completion, members earn an education award that can be applied toward current education costs, student loans or future education.
