Easter Seals RI Appoints New Events Manager

Wakefield, RI -- Easter Seals Rhode Island is proud to announce that Jennifer Martin, of Wakefield, RI, has stepped into the role of Events Manager within the Development Department.

Martin comes to Easter Seals with 17 years of non-profit experience at both South County YMCA, and most recently at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State. During her time at both organizations, she orchestrated numerous fundraising events and collaborated with community and organizational partners. She holds a B.S. in Physical Education from Plymouth State University, and she serves on the Board of Directors as the Vocational Chair for the Wakefield Rotary Club.

As the Events Manager, Martin will be overseeing all of the annual events benefitting Easter Seals Rhode Island including All In Good Taste in March, Walk With Me Rhode Island in May, Golden Goalies and RISD Inno Vaders Golf Tournament in September, and the Mews Tavern Gear ‘N’ Beer 5K in November. In addition, she will be the Easter Seals liaison for events organized outside the agency also benefitting Easter Seals Rhode Island programs and services.

“I am looking forward to making a difference in the lives of children and families in South Kingstown and surrounding communities, and re-establishing relationships and partnerships with stakeholders in local businesses and community leaders,” says Martin.
