Easterseals is proud to announce that we are now partnering with ReServe, an innovative nonprofit that matches retired professionals with organizations that need their expertise.
We are kicking off our partnership by holding a meeting on May 23 at United Way RI, 50 Valley St. in Providence.
Join us to learn how you can work part time for a nonprofit or public agency that will benefit from your expertise.
ReServe is a national nonprofit agency founded in 2005 by three visionary social innovators to leverage the talent and exper- tise of retired or semi-retired adults, called “ReServists.” These professionals are commit- ted to giving back to their communities, putting their skills and experience to work through part-time service for schools, nonprofits, cultural institutions, and public agencies.
Launched in New York City, ReServe has now evolved into a national strategy for leveraging the talents and expertise of ReServists, who collectively have provided over two million hours of service. ReServists include social workers, marketers, designers, administrative assistants, HR professionals, and financial analysts, as well as people who have worked in education, law, health care, banking, advertising and government.
ReServe is supported by private and public grants and individual donations. A modest stipend is paid by the employers, who also pay a small program fee. ReServe's work is organized into four Social Impact areas - Education, Healthcare, Povery Fighting, and Capacity Building.
