2025 Mid-Year Report

Moving Forward 

At Easterseals, every mile traveled, every hour of training completed, every job secured, and every child and adult welcomed into our programs tells a story of hope and progress. 

This year, that story includes moments of deep challenges and loss. Due to unprecedented federal cuts, we are losing programs and dedicated team members who have been the backbone of our transportation and mobility services and SCSEP job training programs for decades. These aren’t just statistics; they are people who built opportunities, independence, and community for so many. Their work matters, and their absence is felt throughout our Network. 

Yet even in a year marked by uncertainty and challenge, we have not remained still. We have persisted, we have adapted, we have advanced, and we have demonstrated again and again that disability is not a barrier to opportunity. Our commitment is unwavering, even as we navigate setbacks that affect people across the country.

Collaboration is the backbone of our Network’s strength. Beyond project-based teamwork, Easterseals intentionally nurtures a culture of openness, shared learning, and collective problem-solving, from executive leadership to frontline staff. Whether through affinity groups, cohort training, joint advocacy, pursuing corporate and foundation support, or co-creation of brand and data resources, our progress is powered by partnerships between Affiliates, with the National Office, and with external allies. Together the possibilities for impact multiply, benefiting the entire disability community. 

Collaboration in Action 

Throughout the past year, the Easterseals Network has: 

• Strengthened Connections: From cross-Affiliate partnerships to joint leadership development, we are intentional about building trust and sharing expertise. Regular affinity groups, open forums, and Network Town Halls keep everyone engaged and moving forward.
• Innovated Together: Affiliates are shaping Easterseals' future by contributing to shared data systems, partnering on digital platforms, and co-developing national resources. Each story, insight, and result strengthens our mission and brings us closer together.
• Leveraged National Partnerships: Whether partnering with local transit authorities, national corporations and foundations, or advocacy organizations, we pursue relationships that expand opportunity and advance accessibility for all.
• Responded as One: In the face of policy changes or funding threats, we act quickly and in sync, sharing resources and voices to protect the rights and well-being of people with disabilities. 

By working together and sharing what we know, we help more people and create better solutions—no one does it alone. That’s how we’ll keep making a real difference, now and in the future.
