From Project SEARCH to Full-Time Employment

Scott Project SEARCH

Did you know that nearly 70% of people with disabilities are unemployed? Project SEARCH is a nine month internship program that offers young adults with disabilities real world job training and soft skills training that lead to employment.

We are so proud and excited to present our first success story of the 2015-2016 Project SEARCH session: Here's Scott attending his employment orientation at Froedtert Hospital! He will be a full-time Rehabilitation Technician performing a variety of therapeutic and clinical tasks associated with patient visits.

Before Scott attended Project SEARCH, he thought he wanted to work in a warehouse. But he learned through his three department rotations that he really enjoyed helping people. With his new job at Froedtert, he will be able to use the skills he learned to make a living, grow his career, and be a part of the community.
