After School Program

girl on bench 2Easterseals South Florida provides FREE year-round (afterschool and summer) services, offering activities for elementary and middle school children (6-12 years old). The program includes literacy and homework support, physical fitness, social skills and a variety of enrichment activities involving music, art, dance and a unique French Heritage Language Program which is offered by the Haitian Cultural Art Alliance. After school services will be available for 157 elementary and middle school slots for 130 typically-developing children and 27 children with disabilities.  Summer camp services will be available for 96 elementary and middle school slots for 60 typically-developing children and 36 children with disabilities residing in the city of Miami, Little Haiti and surrounding neighborhoods.  

During the school year, snacks are provided free of charge thru Department of Health Afterschool Snacks Program. Summer lunches and snacks are provided free of charge by The Village South. 

Dates: After school program operates following Miami Dade County Public School calendar. The summer camp runs for 7 weeks from June to August.

Locations: Easterseals South Florida(ESSF) and Little Haiti Cultural Center (LHCC).

After School Times: 2:30-5:30 at ESSF and 3:30-6:00pm at LHCC 

Summer Times:  9:00am to 4:00 at ESSF and LHCC.

Ratios: 1:15 for typically developing students and 1:3 for children with disabilities.
