32nd Annual Friendly's Cones for Kids Campagin to Support Easter Seals RI

Wakefield, RI — In celebration of the 32nd Annual Cones for Kids Campaign for Easter Seals, the Pawtucket Red Sox mascot Paws will be visiting the Friendly’s in Cranston, located at 1177 Reservoir Avenue from 5:30-6:30pm on Friday, February 1, to serve up ice cream to Easter Seals RI Early Intervention clients Celia and Valentina, and to the Friendly’s customers.

Since 1981, Cones for Kids has been a winter tradition up-and-down the East Coast. Each year, employees across the restaurant chain help change the lives of thousands of children with disabilities through their efforts – raising more than $27 million to date.

Friendly’s will be offering restaurant guests the opportunity to make a $1 donation to Easter Seals. For every $1 donation the guest makes he or she will receive five Valentine’s Day coupons, each redeemable for one free Friendly’s Kid Cones, plus a buy-one-get-one coupon for an adult entree. The Cones for Kids Campaign runs through February 14, 2013 and coupons are redeemable until March 14, 2013.

The proceeds from this campaign support Easter Seals Camp Friendly’s programs that focus on building a sense of independence and accomplishment in campers. Camp Friendly’s provides an opportunity for kids with disabilities to be included in regular camp activities like, boating and canoeing, swimming, archery, ropes courses, horseback riding, hiking, basketball and fishing.
