Supporting His Family Right After High School - Eduardo

Connecting Communities Participant, Eduardo Sanchez, looking directly into the camera for a headshot. He is a young, Latino male with black hair, glasses, and a black jacket on. He is in our Beaverton Connecting Communities office.

Eduardo is a young man who recently graduated from high school after moving to Oregon from Mexico with his family. Shortly after graduating, Eduardo decided that he wanted to search for work so he could help support his family.

Assistance Provided

Our Portland Connecting Communities office Job Developer was able to work with Eddie to determine what sort of work would meet his expectations, and together they decided that a full-time position in production was what he wanted and needed. Together, Eduardo and our staff submitted an application to Pella, inc., and Eduardo quickly received a call back for a phone interview. The hiring staff from Pella asked to meet Eduardo for a second, face-to-face interview; and during the interview, he impressed everyone with his charisma and well-spoken responses.

Success!

As a result of Eduardo’s hard work, determination, and interview skills, Pella, inc. offered him a job on the spot, after his second interview.
Great work Eduardo! Your family-oriented goals and willingness to help others are beautiful qualities that we admire. All of the staff at Easterseals Oregon is very excited for your future endeavors!
