Clothing Closet- A free on-site clothing closet for members

Food Pantry- Easterseals provides members with a Food Pantry open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays; and closed on Fridays. Through our new partnership with the Gemma Moran/United Way Food Bank, we offer non-perishable food items regularly, and frozen meats and dairy items are available periodically. There is also a free on-site clothing closet for members.

Money Canvas- At Easterseals, we understand that life circumstances result in veterans/servicemembers needing a hand-up to get back on track and continue their journey. We provide a free personal finance management program, consisting of three one-on-one hour-long sessions.

Veteran Service Officer (VSO)- There is a CT Department of Veterans Affairs Officer (VSO) onsite Monday - Friday to answer questions about benefits, all services available, and assist with VA claims.

Peer Group- Easterseals is proud to host a weekly meeting for all VRP members and their families. Join us for conversation and refreshments. Members sign up to speak about a hobby or share their story with the group, veteran agencies visit to share about their programs, and staff create icebreaker games and themed topics to get people talking. We offer a safe place to gather with old friends and meet some new ones. There is something different every week!

Behavioral Health

For many of the brave men and women currently serving and veterans, the journey after their military time can be complicated and challenging. Our LCSW is on-site one day a week offering one-on-one therapy, as well as a small group meeting. These behavioral health services are also available for family members of those who served. For those suffering with substance use disorder, there is an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting open to the public. An on-site certified veteran peer specialist is available for confidential one-on-one appointments.
