Easter Seals to work as part of an Austin team delivering healthy, safe homes

Austin, TX, February 15, 2016

As a longtime provider of housing services for Central Texans with disabilities, Easter Seals has long been committed to improving the quality, safety, and affordability of accessible housing. Easter Seals will be joining more than a dozen other government programs and non profit organizations to make sure that safe and healthy housing is available and accessible to those who need it most.

“Our goal is to streamline the steps a family must take to receive services that will transform their homes into healthier, safer, and more comfortable places to live,” says Betsy Spencer, Director of the City’s Office of Neighborhood Housing and Community Development, which led the effort to form the partnership.

Easter Seals is looking forward to the difference this will make for individuals with disabilities in Austin, giving them support to live independently as valued members of our community.
