Party hats, icing and crayons are the makings of a big celebration! And the students in Easterseals’ Western Pennsylvania Special Needs School Program did just that when commemorating Easterseals’ 102nd Birthday in the “Let’s Eat Cake” festivities.

What fun our teachers, students and staff had while singing Happy Birthday songs, coloring cake pages, and decorating real cakes. The fun includes contests for the most creative cake design and the best drawn cake. Students were excited to submit their works of art in hopes of winning the Jump Into Summer Prize Basket.

Our 102nd Birthday honors the work Easterseals does to support children and adults of all ages who are navigating the world with a disability.  Easterseals’ mission is to be an indispensable resource for those who face physical, mental, emotional, and/or intellectual challenges.  And our many programs serve not only those with disabilities but also caregivers, their families, and veterans with the goal of every person living a full and independent life.

So, with icing on our fingers and noses, the School Program in Western PA, says thank you Easterseals for all you do and wishes you a Happy 102nd Birthday!
