Spotlight on: James Johnson

James Johnson

Meet James Johnson. After a tragic accident, he's learned that overcoming obstacles starts with a simple positive thought.

James, 56, was involved in a motorcycle accident back in 2003, which left him as a quadriplegic. Due to the nature of his injuries he requires total care through Easter Seals Louisiana and his caregivers.

Since the accident, the Minden, LA resident has resided in a number of different nursing facilities. With the help of his service providers and family he has overcome obstacles regarding his health and safety.

Due to his persistent attitude and determination he is currently receiving waiver services through Easter Seals Louisiana to help him achieve new heights in his day-to-day life! With the assistance he is living independently as possible.

When he’s not working hard with his Easter Seals Louisiana Support Coordinator, James enjoys watching NASCAR Racing on television, hunting and spending the day outdoors.

“It is such a joy to work with Mr. Johnson because he has such an infectious and positive attitude and is very easy to serve,” says Support Coordinator Ruthie Myles. “Knowing that I have made a positive impact with his outlook on life is very rewarding!”
