EarlySteps is Louisiana's Early Intervention System for children with disabilities and developmental delays, ages birth to three, and their families.  By providing resources and support during those critical years, EarlySteps helps children get off to a great start. EarlySteps services include screening and assessment and coordination of early intervention for children with developmental disabilities. Easter Seals created the Make the First Five Count program to raise awareness for kids at risk for developmental delays, autism and other disabilities. Each SPOE serves hundreds of children/families each year.  The contracts are with the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities. The SPOEs are administered through EarlySteps, Louisiana's early intervention program.
