Easter Seals Alabama's 2009 Ornament

A Capital City Christmas

The revival of Montgomery's Riverfront District continues under Mayor Todd Strange's leadership. One recent development is the Harriott II Riverboat. The Harriott II is named for the first steamboat to reach Montgomery from Mobile on October 22, 1821. As the first Harriott brought economic development and prosperity to the then frontier village of Montgomery, Harriott II promises to evoke the continued revival of downtown Montgomery.

2009 "A Capital City Christmas" ornaments are available for $15.00.

Each 24K gold over brass ornament comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a signed and numbered "Limited Edition Collector's Item Statement" that includes a brief history. The ornament is encased in a beautiful gift box and is ready to hang or display.

Phillip Kidd of Prattville, Alabama, is the featured artist again this year. Phil's artwork first debuted last year with the design of the 2008 Montgomery Skyline. With a resounding response to the Capital City Ornament, Phil took on Montgomery's newest attraction the Harriott II. Phil is a graduate of Prattville High School and is currently attending Auburn University Montgomery, majoring in visual arts.
