Easterseals Nebraska offers programs to help young adults with disabilities reach their full potential where they live, work, learn and play.

Alternative Financing Solutions

Easterseals Nebraska provides low-interest loans for the purchase of assistive technology devices and services. Assistive technology is any device or service that helps a person with a disability maintain or increase independence or overcome a barrier to employment.

Camp, Respite & Recreation

Easterseals Nebraska week-long summer camps, weekend respite camps and daycamps provide the same excitement, joys, challenges and activity available at other programs in a fully-accessible setting. We accept campers with any disability and ages 5-100+. Campers gain independence and social interaction skills while participating in a variety of fun, adapted activities.

Services for Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Easterseals Nebraska provides comprehensive benefits planning services to individuals served by Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NCBVI).

Work Incentives Planning and Assistance

Nebraska Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) helps Social Security disability beneficiaries understand and use available work incentives, allowing individuals to enter or re-enter the workforce while protecting their eligibility for cash benefits and/or health care benefits until they can become self-sufficient. 

Nebraska Ticket to Work

Nebraska Ticket to Work is a free employment services program developed by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Easterseals Nebraska works with the SSA as an Employment Network to offer this program to individuals who are receiving Social Security disability benefits and who are interested in obtaining or advancing in employment. 

Services for Nebraska VR

Easterseals Nebraska provides comprehensive Benefits Planning Services to individuals served by Nebraska VR. Services include comprehensive and individualized analysis of the impact of employment on SSA cash benefits and other public benefits, work incentives education and management, finance 101 education and more!

In-Home Care

Easterseals in-home provides the necessary support services to allow an individual to live at home. These services enhance people's independence in daily living.

Adult Day Services

We offer center-based adult day services that provide therapeutic programming for individuals 18 and older with a physical disability or social or cognitive impairment who need some assistance with activities of daily living. Some young adults with multiple physical or mental disabilities may attend Easterseals adult day programs as they transition from school to community-based services.

Our unique camping and recreation programs for people with disabilities are located across the country and feature exciting opportunities that promote independence and inclusion. Easterseals’ employment services help individuals identify job skills; assist with career exploration and development, and employment coaching.

Medical Support

Many Easterseals programs provide medical supervision and health-related services on a daily basis.

Qualified staff administers medications and monitor a variety of medical conditions. Most often, therapy services (occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy) are available. Some medical programs also offer additional services such as bathing and personal care. Referrals to medical model centers may include individuals who have recently been discharged from a hospital.
