Easterseals Nebraska offers programs to help adults with disabilities reach their full potential where they live, work, learn and play.
Nebraska AgrAbility serves Nebraska’s Farmers and Ranchers affected by disability. It offers technical assistance to participants to help them work with their disability, peer support with individuals who have similar disabilities, and educational programs about accommodating disability in agriculture.
Easterseals Nebraska provides comprehensive benefits planning services to individuals served by Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NCBVI).
Nebraska Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) helps Social Security disability beneficiaries understand and use available work incentives, allowing individuals to enter or re-enter the workforce while protecting their eligibility for cash benefits and/or health care benefits until they can become self-sufficient.
Nebraska Ticket to Work is a free employment services program developed by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Easterseals Nebraska works with the SSA as an Employment Network to offer this program to individuals who are receiving Social Security disability benefits and who are interested in obtaining or advancing in employment.
Easterseals Nebraska provides comprehensive Benefits Planning Services to individuals served by Nebraska VR. Services include comprehensive and individualized analysis of the impact of employment on SSA cash benefits and other public benefits, work incentives education and management, finance 101 education and more!
Easterseals Nebraska provides low-interest loans for the purchase of assistive technology devices and services. Assistive technology is any device or service that helps a person with a disability maintain or increase independence or overcome a barrier to employment.
Easterseals Nebraska week-long summer camps, weekend respite camps and daycamps provide the same excitement, joys, challenges and activity available at other programs in a fully-accessible setting. We accept campers with any disability and ages 5-100+. Campers gain independence and social interaction skills while participating in a variety of fun, adapted activities.
Easterseals Nebraska provides a variety of home-based services for adults with a developmental disability, persons with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, as well as an individual with Multiple Sclerosis, or those who have had a stroke. Through a partnership with the Visiting Nurse Association, seniors have access to respite, support, and education for family members and other caregivers.
