B. Stevenson

Brittani Stevenson joined Easter Seals in 2012 as an Early Intervention Specialist and has over 12 years of experience working with children ages birth to five years. During her time with Easter Seals, she has taken the time to learn about each child individually and work to better herself in her field. Brittani has always loved working with children and knew she wanted to work with children as a long-term career ever since she was little. Brittani has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia State University and her Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Development from Capella University.

Growing up with a nurse and a state trooper, Brittani has always been around children and individuals with special needs. Brittani and her family were actively involved in a program in West Virginia for children with special needs called “King for a Day.” This program allowed children from all over the state to join Brittani, her family, and many volunteers for a weekend of fun and events. Brittani is passionate about helping each child overcome obstacles and make developmental gains while assisting families in finding the resources available.

When she is not spending time with her fur-babies, Lizzie and Coal, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and reading.

"Ms. Stevenson is very good in what she does.  Also, she is very friendly and loves what she does.  She also makes me feel confident in my ability to take care of my child.  She is judgment-free, always smiling and I love that."~Easter Seals Parent Feedback

"The best thing about Brittani is that she is dependable and understanding to my family needs.  If something does not work, she is able to find a different way to fix the problem." ~Easter Seals Parent Feedback

Nancy Marty

N, Marty

I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary education with a minor in Psychology.  I have 16 years of teaching experience from preschool age to 8th grade.  My favorite grade to teach was second grade because my students were beginning their journey of becoming readers.  To provide quality reading instruction to struggling readers in my classroom I participated in the year long Early Literacy course through Clemson University.  It was the most rewarding experience to use the new strategies and methods to help children overcome their reading difficulties and reach their learning goals.  I am excited to use my experience to help children and their families to have positive educational experiences that prepare them to be confident and successful when entering school. I am married and the mother of two teenage girls and two chocolate labs.  I enjoy reading, watching movies, and being involved in my girls' extracurricular activities.  I also enjoy weekend getaways to the mountains or enjoying the sunshine on the beach.
