The Easterseals Outreach Program (ESO) has formed a partnership with the Arkansas Department of Education-Special Education Unit (ADE-SEU) to help students with special needs succeed in school and be more successful in their adult life. After receiving referrals through CIRCUIT, the ESO professionals will travel statewide to assist teachers, parents, administrators and therapists in development or implementation of appropriate programs for their students who may experience difficulties in the classroom which could range from behavior, concentration, language use, physical disabilities, peer interaction or developmental disabilities. The ESO team is a group of experienced special education consultants, occupational therapists, technology consultants, speech therapists, a psychological examiner, an autism specialists and a traumatic-brain injury consultant.

Request for services will generate a follow-up phone call from a member of ESO who will then help determine if the student or his/her school team would benefit from one or more of the following services:

  • School team consultation
  • Psychoeducational evaluations including testing for autism
  • Professional development courses
  • AAC evaluations
  • Assistive technology assessment for students served under IEP
  • Regional training, on-site team coaching or in-service training
  • Assistive Technology Assessment
  • Adaptation or modification of materials or the classroom setting
