Giving Back

Jaelyn and Angela

In February 2017, Jaelyn who has autism started Easterseals Center for Training & Wellness. The Center is a day program located in Little Rock where adults ages 18 and up with developmental delay or disabilities can go to make friends, learn new skills and obtain a job.

Easterseals was referred to Angela by her nephew, Trey, who has been receiving services from us since he was a baby. Jaeylyn is excelling at the Center, learning how to send emails in the computer lab and making a lot of friends. When Angela asked Jaelyn how his day was at the Center, he answered, “It was amazing today!”

Jaelyn Spotlight

Besides his interest in computers, Jaelyn would love the opportunity to shadow a TV production team. “Easterseals has helped my son thrive and because of that, I want to give back by volunteering for them,” said Angela. She is going to have a vast array of volunteer opportunities to choose from; reading books at the Center to playing with the children in our developmental preschool to volunteering at our special events.
