The J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation awarded a challenge grant of $90,000 to Easterseals Arkansas to match the $90,000 raised for infrastructure to support children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The projects specifically enhance the services provided at the Little Rock Developmental Preschool. The plans include the construction of a dedicated feeding clinic space, new preschool classroom and lobby, and the addition of a Pre-K bathroom. The project scope also includes the future demolition of a kennel on Easterseals property to provide additional parking and space for future growth.

The private J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation Inc., based in Tulsa, serves Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The Mabees formed the foundation in 1948 to aid Christian religious organizations, charitable organizations and institutions of higher learning, hospitals and other charitable organizations.

For more than 75 years, Easterseals Arkansas has provided exceptional services to empower children and adults with disabilities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.
