Meet Ryan

Ryan Thomas, ADS, 2021, Ambassador

ryan

Ryan is a radiant and very happy young man, twenty nine years old. Prior to his graduation in 2012 from the North Hills School District, Ryan attended Easterseals in the afternoon hours as part of a work skills program. Since then, Ryan has attended Easterseals full-time starting at the Railroad Street location, transferring to Uptown and now is at the Harmarville facility.

Ryan is proud of what he accomplishes, and cherishes the friendships he has made at Easterseals.  The staff and fellow ADS members work well with and include Ryan. This gives him a feeling of acceptance and great happiness.

His parents, Mike and Julie feel that Easter Seals is a perfect fit for him. It is a place where Ryan feels accepted and comfortable but most importantly it is a place where he is safe.

Thanks to his ADS friends, as well as his inclusion in activities and training, Ryan does not realize or acknowledge his disability and considers himself just another person. Ryan loves going into the community and assisting at the local food banks.  That is something that has been made possible by Easterseals.

He tries hard and his accomplishments are commendable.  He is a truly great person who has a heart of gold that shines and makes our days brighter.   He is unique..... he is our Ryan.
