Meet Remington and Weston

Remington and Weston

Remington & Weston have been receiving speech therapy from Easterseals for the past year. Both children have a diagnosis of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAP), which is a motor speech disorder in which the child has difficulty planning and programming speech movements.

Weston, who was diagnosed at 2 ½ years of age, is more severe than his brother. He receives speech therapy twice a week while Remington who was diagnosed at age 4 receives weekly services. Their mother reports that “Easterseals has been such a blessing in both of my kids lives! With Childhood Speech Apraxia the kids need a special type of speech therapy and Easterseals was very knowledgeable. Annette has been wonderful.  My kids even look forward to coming to speech! Annette not only works with my kids while they are there but is educating me on ways to continue practicing with them at home in daily life. I am so thankful for Easterseals and so happy with both of my kid’s progress!”

Contact the Easterseals office at 814-535-5508 or e-mail Sandy at sroush@eastersealswcpenna.org if you have any questions or would like to find more about the services that are offered.
