Respite care for The Quiambao Family
The Quiambao's are a beautiful family who started with the Respite Program in December of 2015. Mrs. Quiambao is very organized and has the children on a great routine system, so the family was a little hesitant to introduce someone new into the mix, but did so hoping for just a little extra help. Shortly after entering the Respite Program, the Quaimbao's had chosen a provider and were using all 40 hours of care! I checked in with Mrs. Quaimbao after only the first month of care, and she told me that the children absolutely adored their provider, Oanh, and that she was already like part of the family. This is exactly what the Respite Program is designed for, to make the lives of those military families who have an exceptional family member or more, a little easier, and less stressful.

"Our family is so thankful for the Respite Program through Easter Seals. We have one provider that provides respite for our family of 7 children. It began as a way to go grocery shopping and to appointments and dates here and there. It still is all of those things, but our respite provider has become more than just a respite provider. Through the respite program, we have gained some freedom and a lot of peace of mind."
