Columbia, SC- Easterseals South Carolina is pleased to announce a merger with Autism Services of South Carolina effective January 18, 2019.  Easterseals South Carolina founded the Autism agency in October 2015. The company was created to serve the increasing number of children diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD). At the time of formulation, the state of South Carolina required separate companies of those providing ABA and Early Intervention services. Going forward the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services provided by Autism Services of South Carolina will officially fall under Easterseals South Carolina as an Autism Division.

Over the last 4 years the ABA program has grown tremendously and currently serves the Aiken, Beaufort, Charleston, Columbia, Lexington, Greenville, Florence, and Spartanburg areas. Easterseals South Carolina CEO/President Deanna Lewis said, “We are confident this merger will result in a stronger network of services for children with Autism in South Carolina and look forward to welcoming our new employees and clients to the Easterseals South Carolina family.”

As a part of the merger, Easterseals South Carolina will continue to offer in-home Early Intervention Services and Pediatric Rehabilitation Services throughout South Carolina.  Easterseals South Carolina has proudly served the people of South Carolina since 1934.

Karen Larson, Director of Autism Services of South Carolina said “Easterseals South Carolina brings a long history of providing exceptional services to children across the state of South Carolina.” “We are proud to join Easterseals South Carolina and continue to move forward as a single organization.”
