Kelly Schneider has dedicated her career to serving people with disabilities at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN. Currently serving 5,000 people, Easterseals Rehabilitation Center provides life-altering services, from therapy and inclusive education to residential and employment services.
Schneider's first job with the organization came in 1988 when she was hired as a group home manager. She later served as director of residential services, vice president of residential services, vice president of clinical therapy services, and vice president of operations before being named president in 2015.
Expansion of clinical services has been a priority, and she led the effort to grow the number of therapists with the organization from 31 in 2005 to 83 in 2025. The expansion of psychology services and creation of a doctoral-level internship for psychologists is one key to that expansion. To sustain that program, she helped lead a campaign to raise over $5 million in funds restricted to psychology services, with the goal of seeing more people faster.
Schneider is a Kentucky native who holds a B.A. in psychology and criminal justice from Kentucky Wesleyan College and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Southern Indiana. She serves in a variety of volunteer roles, including as a board member of Community Foundation of Henderson, Kentucky, Partnership of Women, The Center for Addiction Recovery, Inc., and the advisory board for the MHA program at USI. She and her husband have two adult sons and one grandson.
