Disability nonprofit, Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania presents the

2023 Wonder Ball – The Great Gatsby

York, PA, September 21, 2023:  Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania (ESWCPA) is  pleased to announce the 2023 Wonder Ball on October 21, 2023, from 5:30 - 10:00PM at Wyndham Garden York.

The Great Gatsby, which immediately calls to mind images of the 1920’s, flappers, feathers, fun and hope, will be the theme of the Wonder Ball this yearThis is ESWCPA’s premiere fundraising event and helps individuals of all ages who face physical, mental, emotional, and/or intellectual disabilities and their families. Proceeds will help Easterseals provide therapeutic recreation/camping and adaptive sports opportunities, as well as Military children and family services and sign language interpreting services in York and other area communities.

Unless you have a time machine, visiting a real speakeasy in the Gatsby era is something you won't be able to tick off your bucket list. While you may never know the thrill of drinking questionable bathtub gin with the constant threat of a police raid, you can enjoy an evening that gives a nod to an era of hidden entrances and secret passwords. Guests will take a step back in time and will enjoy live period music, engage with various thematic activities, enjoy auctions and raffles, refreshments and a free drink.  There will be a cash bar. This is a great opportunity for attendees to go back in time and enjoy the roaring 20’s, all while helping those with disabilities and other special needs achieve independence and reach their full potential.

Adam McCallister and Rob Myers, of McCallister & Myers Real Estate Services will be returning as emcees for the evening, bringing their unique style and love of community to the event. Joining Easterseals for the night’s program will be 2023 York Ambassador, Maggie’s Mother, Jen Allen.  You can read Maggie’s story here - https://www.easterseals.com/wcpenna/news-and-stories/stories-of-success/spotlights/meet-maggie.html
