Easterseals Olympic Peninsula Autism Center provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism throughout the Olympic Peninsula, with a special emphasis on families serving in the military. OPAC serves families from all over the Olympic Peninsula and Kitsap County, including participants in Silverdale, Bremerton, Bainbridge Island, Kingston, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard. OPAC is conveniently located near Naval Sub Base Bangor and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard to help military families who need services for their children with autism. We have recently moved to a new, larger location. Now that we have more space, we have been able to hire an additional Board Certified Behavior Analyst and new therapists - allowing us to DOUBLE the amount of families we can serve!

First, and foremost, our learners and their families represent the core of Olympic Peninsula Autism Center's existence. Only by the gift of those we serve can we remain a viable member of the community. We boldly pursue the most progressive methods of teaching children with autism and their families how, not only to overcome, but also how to excel in the face of one of the most puzzling conditions humankind faces.
While other prominent organizations within the autism community work tirelessly to discover the cause(s) of autism and search for a cure, Easterseals Olympic Peninsula Autism Center dedicates itself to clinical excellence for every child, all the time, in its delivery of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
What families can expect:
Why Choose Us?
The Easterseals Olympic Peninsula Autism Center provides Applied Behavior Analysis in a center-based autism center. Why are we center based? There are many advantages to center based treatment that result in favorable outcomes for the child.
The Olympic Peninsula Autism Center (OPAC), serving children with autism in Kitsap County since 2011, is now a part of Easterseals Washington and will deliver the same high quality services under the Easterseals brand. The merger represents Easterseals’ continued commitment to addressing the effects of autism on individuals and families.
OPAC was originally founded in 2011 to help children deal with the effects of autism at the time in their lives when intervention is most useful. OPAC was established with two goals in mind: to provide therapy for children with autism so that those children could develop social, verbal, and educational skills; and to help military families with children with autism. The center uses Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as its therapeutic approach, and has been enormously successful so far in helping children on the spectrum gain the skills they need to reach their full potential.
The Easterseals Olympic Peninsula Autism Center is Easterseals Washington’s first program that delivers ABA therapy to children with autism. ABA therapy is recognized as the most effective treatment for autism, and has enabled children across the country to lead fulfilling lives, and in some cases keep up educationally with their typically developing peers. The merger is the culmination of earlier collaborative efforts. OPAC participated in Easterseals Autism Interactive program, which provided iPads to clinics serving children with autism.
