Easterseals Awards 2018 SC Legislator of the Year Awards

Columbia, S.C., February 25, 2019

On Wednesday, February 27, 2019, Easterseals South Carolina will honor Senator Thomas C. Alexander and Representative Murrell Smith Jr. with the 2018 Legislator of the Year Award in recognition of their work during the 2018 legislative session. Senator Alexander and Representative Smith were crucial in getting the legislation passed to increase the autism rate and also secured an additional one million in autism funding last legislative session. 

Senator Alexander and Representative Smith were presented the 2018 Legislator of the Year Award by Deanna Lewis, CEO of Easterseals and Autism Services of SC, and Karen Larson, Director of Autism Services of South Carolina.
