Easterseals Central Illinois Learning Academy is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education as a non-public private facility serving students between the ages of 3 and 21. School districts contract with Easterseals Central Illinois Learning Academy to assist in providing an alternative school placement with specifically designed instruction and educational programs for children who have a primary educational diagnosis of Autism, emotional disabilities, developmental delays, or intellectual or other health impairments.

The Easterseals Central Illinois Learning Academy is designed with a high staff-to-student ratio, fully equipped classrooms, and therapy rooms, and evidenced-based instructional strategies that empower each student to achieve peak academic performance and increase social and emotional skills, and communication skills, and functional life skills for independence.

Instruction is centered on evidence-based practices, and the curriculum is aligned to state learning standards.  All of the programs and services provided emphasize an individualized approach to education that meets state and federal mandates to prepare students to transition back to their schools and communities and lead successful lives.
