Summary:

The Physical Therapist shall provide evaluation and treatment to pediatric clients in a clinic setting, in local school systems, and in homes under the WV Birth-to-Three program. Four-day work week with some evening hours. Local travel is involved. This position is exempt and reports to the Clinical Coordinator under the general direction of the President/CEO.   

Basic Responsibilities:

1.     Shall perform evaluations and establish a program for each patient, write evaluations, and report to referring physician.

2.     Shall administer therapy as prescribed in school settings, clinic and/or early intervention program as needed.

3.     Shall keep accurate daily notes, write timely reports, and keep updated plan of care records.

4.     Shall supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, volunteers, and physical therapy students as directed.

5.     Shall coordinate or participate in special interest programs such as community clinics and developmental screenings as needed.

6.     Shall act as Service Coordinator for assigned clients as needed.

7.     Shall keep abreast of standards from the American Physical Therapy Association and CARF.

8.     Shall conduct periodic in-service programs for the treatment staff, physical therapy department, aides, physical therapy students and volunteers.

9.     Shall instruct those who come in contact with the client in care and management of the client, such as parents, teachers, family, medical director, and physicians.

10.  Other related duties, as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited program.
  • West Virginia State Licensure — required
  • Ohio State Licensure — required
  • Proficient in operation of EMR system and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and operating systems of school contract services.
  • Valid driver’s license, current auto liability insurance and self-transportation.
