Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) today launched Love Is A Gift, a social initiative designed to celebrate those who matter most in our lives. Love Is A Gift encourages people to make a statement about the transformative power of love and share a picture of themselves with those who matter most to them, along with a brief explanation of why. For every photo story uploaded to LoveisaGift.com, MassMutual will donate $1 to Easter Seals — up to $50,000. The initiative will run through November 30.

“MassMutual launched this initiative to highlight real people in real relationships, and to emphasize that love is the most valuable thing we have,” said John Chandler, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, MassMutual. “We are deeply committed to people and those that matter most to them, and we are thrilled to join with Easter Seals again to celebrate the work they do in providing help, support services and hope to children and adults living with disabilities, their caregivers and veterans.”

How to participate:

MassMutual further brings the initiative to life with its Love is a Gift video. In an effort to convey the strong bonds people share with one another, the company chose to highlight real families. This is something MassMutual is committed to at the core, and strives to portray in all of its marketing efforts.

This initiative continues the long-term partnership between MassMutual and Easter Seals and commemorates the 10th year of MassMutual’s SpecialCareSM program, which takes a team approach to help ensure families living with disabilities receive proper life care planning for today and the future.

“Easter Seals is honored to partner with MassMutual around its Love Is A Gift initiative,” said James E. Williams, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Easter Seals. “What a tremendous way to celebrate its SpecialCare program’s 10th anniversary — through our mutual commitment to providing help and support services to children and adults living with disabilities, their caregivers and veterans.”
