Joanne Sullivan’s career in fund-raising and development in Tampa spans twenty-five years and includes key leadership positions at the University of Tampa, Florida Hospital Tampa Foundation, Academy at the Lakes, the Tampa Museum of Art and Berkeley Preparatory School with experience in major gifts, special gifts, planned gifts and prospect management. She currently serves the University of South Florida as USF Health Director of Community Relations.
Ms. Sullivan is a graduate of Florida State University and is on the regional and state boards of Easter Seals Florida. She is a member of Leadership Tampa Bay’s Class of 2010 and Leadership Tampa’s Class of 1991. In addition, Joanne is a member of Red Cross Angels serving the American Red Cross Florida’s West Coast Region & Tampa Bay Chapter. She is a member of the Suncoast Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals, and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Tampa. The Tampa Bay Business Journal named Joanne one of 51 finalists for the 2012 Business Woman of the Year in the Tampa Bay region. In 2015, Joanne was selected by her fundraising peers in the Tampa Bay area as the recipient of the Lloyd Horton Lifetime Achievement Award.
On the national level, Joanne has been a member of the Easter Seals National House of Delegates since 1997. She has served as chairman of the House Nominating, the Membership and Organizational Structure, and the Rules, Agenda and Resolutions Committees, and has been a member of numerous other committees. Joanne served as secretary of the Easter Seals National House of Delegates 2010-2011, as vice chairman in 2012-2013, and is currently serving her second one-year term as chairman. Ms. Sullivan serves as an ex-officio member of the board, chairman of the House Coordinating Committee, and chairman of the Rules, Agenda, and Resolutions Committee and is a member of the Development & Marketing Committee.
