For 100 years, Easterseals has been the indispensable resource for people with disabilities, veterans, older Americans and their families. From early childhood and autism services, to veteran transitions and senior care, Easterseals helps children and adults with disabilities live fully, every day and throughout their lives. “In 47 counties around the state of Pennsylvania, our five divisions meet families where they are, and provide resources to help them reach their goals,” said James G. Bennett, President and CEO of Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania.  “Through our comprehensive live, learn, work, play service model, we reach populations across the life span.” Easterseals’ program model of live, learn, work and play help break down barriers in each area of life:

To celebrate 100 years of services, Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania will be hosting “Speakeasy” on October 24, 2019 at an “secret” venue on Pittsburgh’s Northside.  Attendees will step back in time to an exhilarating era of flappers and suffragists, bootleggers and temperance workers all while commemorating Easterseals' 100th Anniversary.  For one night, it’s a chance to dress in your favorite 1920's attire or business casual and live like real-life legends, Al Capone and Carrie Nation.  There will even be a secret entrance and password!  This year’s Honorary Chairs are Paul Martino from KDKA, Joy Balentine, Jeff Kumer, Lauren Rushak and William and Danielle Warfel.  For more information go to https://www.eastersealswcpa.org/speakeasy.

About Easterseals: For 100 years, Easterseals has been the indispensable resource for people and families challenged by disability.  Now, as America faces a broad range of new issues, EWSCPA makes a major, positive life-changing difference in the lives of people and families challenged by today’s disabilities.  The work we do every day is redefining disability for the 21st Century.
