Disability nonprofit, Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania presents Murder~Mystery~Mayhem as a way to promote National Disability Employment Awareness Month, which has occurred every October since 1988
Pittsburgh, PA, September 2020: Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania (ESWCPA) is solving things! Not only are they making the lives of those with disabilities and other special needs more inclusive, but they will also be solving the murder of Danny “Chuckles” Luciano on October 22, 2020 at 6 or 7:30 PM with a virtual sleuthing evening at Murder~Mystery~Mayhem and all are invited.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. At Easterseals, the very heart of our work is our mission to build a more inclusive world, one that ensures those with disabilities are welcomed and provided with every opportunity to succeed. And a big part of that is helping members of the disability community find employment – because we believe that joining the workforce can be an essential part of living a full, happy and independent life, and that creating inclusive workplaces is a part of creating a better world for everyone.
“During the CoVID pandemic, like so many other nonprofits, Easterseals has found fundraising for our valuable services and programs more difficult. So, to encourage existing and future friends of ESWCPA to support our program needs, we decided to host this virtual murder mystery, a fun yet safe program that can be enjoyed by the families, or groups of friends,” states Lori McCann, Vice President, Development.
“Easterseals holds several service contracts so that we have the ability to provide employment opportunities for persons with disabilities,” states Darlene Malzone, Director Adult Programs. Ms. Malzone continues, “During this pandemic, our workers are considered essential employees, providing needed services at photo license centers as well as custodial services for several facilities. To maintain our quality performance on these contracts, it is essential that we maintain our compliment of manpower.”
Doug Clewett, VP, Human Resources says, “Currently Easterseals has a number of license technicians positions available for individuals with disabilities and we encourage them to apply.” More information about these positions can be viewed at https://www.easterseals.com/wcpenna/who-we-are/careers-at-easterseals/.”
An invite to Murder~Mystery~Mayhem is included below:
