Under the direction of the Vocational Rehabilitation Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Employment and Community Services program transportation needs and professional development, contract relationships and development, and on site observation of all community based Community Inclusion Specialists. Will also coordinate all staff training of the department to job specific tasks per the specific demands of each work site. Monitors and assists in the training of all staff and individuals served in the specific vocational tasks associated with all community based work sites. Ensures that programs meet the vocational habilitation and rehabilitation needs of persons served with an emphasis on person-centered services and the primacy of the individuals served right to self-determination.
Coordinates all Employment and Community Services daily transportation schedules.
Ensures that safe operation of fleet of vehicles assigned to Employment and Community Services program. Oversight of maintenance schedule of the vehicle fleet, conduct monthly vehicle inspections, maintain and organize mileage logs, maintain and organize vehicle checklist,, and other vehicle maintenance task as requested.
Monitors the GPS monitor system installed in all Employment and Community Services vehicles to ensure safe operation by staff.
Monitors department wide transportation schedules as outlined by department managers.
Provides all on-site supervision of community based program work sites. Regularly checks in with all Community Inclusion Specialists at community based work sites to ensure that all Easterseals policies and procedures and contract relationships are maintained.
Directly liaisons with community work site owners, facility managers, and supervisors to ensure good relationships are maintained and shares operational information with managers.
Conducts documented worksite visits to ensure that contract standards are being met.
Coordinates the training and professional development of all Community Inclusion Specialists in collaboration with the Community Inclusion Specialist II and Manager.
Contributes to the development of new vocational opportunities such as additional work sites including but not limited to enclaves, janitorial contracts, and other new vocational opportunities.
Develops and expands community opportunities/relationships for individuals served that provide opportunities for increased independence.
Assists in the planning and restructuring of building assignments as requested.
In applicable programs, creates and directs daily activities and special project plans.
Actively participates as a member of interdisciplinary treatment team for individuals as needed.
Establishes, develops, and maintains respectful relationships with individuals served, and facilitate functional training in vocational, domestic, recreational, leisure, and community settings in coordination with other Easterseals’ team members.
Assists with the documentation, coordination, and reporting of individuals served attendance (in and out) while also conducting daily, weekly, and/or monthly audits of individuals served attendance.
Liaisons with Easterseals Facilities coordinator to ensure that all Easterseals facilities are safe.
In conjunction with department managers and Community Inclusion Specialist II oversees all staff training regarding vocational work activities to ensure that all staff is properly trained to oversee the specific work duties at all community based Easterseals work sites.
Provides direct service coverage as needed based upon the program’s needs.
Implements Behavior Support plan and guidelines.
Implements medical/health protocols and guidelines.
Provides vital input to the development of the individual’s Individual/Treatment Plan.
Attends and participates in team meets as requested.
Completes all required documentation in Therap electronic documentation system and other methods of documentation as needed.
Documents daily data for the individual’s goals, ADL strategies, behavior tracking, and all other forms of documentation as requested and needed.
Responsible to maintaining and attending all required agency, state, or accreditation trainings as assigned.
Attends and participates in supervisions and staff meetings.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL REQUIREMENTS, AND DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Excellent computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email.
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
Completion of certification of CPR & First Aid, PMT, and all other required state trainings.
Computer skills required including working knowledge of Microsoft office.
Knowledge of the community support system and resource is preferred.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Able to make good sound judgement.
This position may be authorized to have access to protected Health Information (PHI) to perform specific job duties.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, personal vehicle and appropriate insurance.
High School diploma required with five years of experience in direct care services in human services or Associates Degree required and three years of experience in direct care service in human services or Bachelor’s Degree required with one year of experience in direct care services in human services.
Years of relevant experience are dependent upon level of education as noted above.
